Vintage machinist tool box owned by a naval contracted machinist from Mare Island, CA. This fellow retired on November 5, 1991 after 20 years of service at Mare Island. The Journeyman Union stamp book shows dates to 1941.

The box has a top lidded drawer and below that are 6 felt lined drawers, each with a metal back. The outside of the box is metal with a metal door that looks everything into place.

There is no key with this box and I don't see a makers name. I've left a few personal goodies in the box. The retirement slip, the Union stamp book, Useful Shop Tables and Information, Right to Compensation flier, United Crusade receipt.
