Vintage Props, Unusual & Decorative Antiques. Here for sale is a fantastic antique carpenters' tool chest. It consists of a bank of drawers on one side and woodwork saws mounted on the door. The stunning back of drawers are made from oak with dovetail drawers. The original maker would have been the owner and used it on a daily basis, all totally handmade. It comes complete with four beautiful Shear & Jackson saws, with wooden handles and brass makers badge. Metal corners to outer trunk and brass handle to open. Great ebonised outer case with a fabulous patina. Great as a set of drawers for a guests in a spare room. One of the oak knobs has a piece missing. The smaller saw doesn't seem to fit in the hole available. The outer shell of the trunk shows scratches and marks, please look at photos. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
