Buck & Hickman Vintage Wooden Engineers Tool Chest 7 Drawer Cabinet & Key C1960s

  
A vintage wooden tool chest with 7 lined drawers, carry handle, front panel and working lock and key. Labelled for Buck and Hickman Ltd London which dates it to circa 1960's/early 70's. Well presented and made of different tone woods including mahogany top and sides. Condition: Working lock and key- key must be fully inserted before turning. The back two corner guards are missing on one side so it has a slight wobble.

An old repair to small split to back of top which is secure. One middle drawer has a section of wood missing at the side and is a bit stiff to open/close, the other 6 drawers run freely. The runner of the lower drawer has a bit missing but this does not affect function.

There are some surface scratches to the wood and some marks and wear to the lining in the drawers from use. Some wear/cracks to outer of handle but metal inside is sturdy. General surface wear consistent with age and usually, mentioned for accuracy, the box is sturdy and well presented. Please see photos for details of condition and tape measurements.
