Hi and welcome to my listing for this vintage Engineers tool cabinet. This is a work-a-day tool chest/cabinet which would have been used in industrial settings across the land at one time, sadly now a fading past.
These pieces would have been hand made by the tradesman to hole their tools or attachments etc... And are becoming scarer to find in their original condition. The cabinet stands about 42 cm high X 57 cm wide X 27 cm deep.
It is constructed in wood with metal supporting brackets on the corners and metal carrying handles on each side. The front drops down to reveal the 3 drawer sections with brass/metal name plates and wooden handles on the drawers. There is also an open storage section on the bottom.
The front is secured in place with a clasp that would have had a little padlock with it (not present). A look back at a bygone era in original paint with a little personalized " men at work " sign fixed on top. (I also have other similar industrial cabinets and furniture listed which may be of interest).
