An original early 20th century industrial engineer's tool chest or workshop storage cabinet. Constructed from riveted sheet steel and retaining its original black painted finish, the cabinet features a drop-front opening door revealing four internal drawers, the lower drawer fitted with original metal dividers for organising small parts, screws, fittings or tools. The chest has substantial recessed carrying handles to each side and retains an excellent untouched industrial appearance with decades of wear, scratches, paint loss and patina acquired through honest workshop use.
Stamped to the front with the name D. Dickinson, presumably the original owner.
An exceptionally decorative piece that would look superb in a workshop, office, studio, man cave, garage, retail display or steampunk-inspired interior. A practical and highly collectible example of early industrial storage. Surface wear, paint loss, marks and oxidation throughout commensurate with age and use. Please study photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
